Pre-runoff conditions on the Ark are solid. Nymphing with Pat's Rubber Legs and Flashback Pheasant Tails producing well in the riffles. Expect brown trout to be aggressive in deeper runs and pocket water.

The Blue below Dillon Dam is fishing well with low, clear flows. Size 22โ26 midges are the ticket. Focus on the tailwater section between the dam and Green Mountain Reservoir for best results.

Winter conditions still prevailing in the canyon. Low water and cold temps make for tough but rewarding fishing. Target sun-warmed pools in the afternoon with small midge clusters and Blue-Winged Olive patterns.

The upper Colorado near Kremmling is fishing well for late March. Good streamer water โ Woolly Buggers and Slumpbusters working the cut banks. Nymphing productive midday with stonefly and caddis larvae patterns.

The Gunnison Gorge is on fire right now. Big browns coming out of winter holds and hammering streamers. The hike-in access keeps pressure low. Stonefly nymphs and San Juan Worms also producing quality fish.

The Fork is fishing well between Basalt and Carbondale. Pre-runoff flows are ideal for nymphing deeper runs. BWO hatches starting to pop in the afternoons. Dry-dropper rigs effective when you see rises.

Spinney Mountain is still partially iced, but the Dream Stream section between the reservoirs is open and fishable. Slow, deliberate nymphing is the game โ egg patterns and small midges near inlet areas holding fish.
